Repeat Prescriptions

Requests for repeat prescriptions must be in writing, either using your repeat request slip or on a piece of paper which includes your name, address, date of birth and the medication that you are requesting.

Your request can be made by post, though our letterbox out of hours, handing your slip to our receptionists or placing it in the repeat prescription box. Ideally you would order your repeat medication online as follows:

Request Repeat Medication Online

You can order your repeat prescription online, using the surgery Patient Access medical system via the link at the top of this page.

To be able to use this facility you will need to be allocated login details. Please see a Receptionist next time you are passing with the following paperwork:

Address confirmation: Less that 6 months old or a rent agreement document etc.

Identification: Passport or driving licence.

Once we have this information, which is an NHS requirement, we can issue you with unique log in details that will allow you to order your repeat medication online as well as book an appointment to see a GP.

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

All prescription requests will now be sent electronically to a Pharmacy of your choice, this can be changed at any time should you wish to change your mind. Please let us know if you would like to pick your medication up somewhere different to your usual pharmacy if this is the case.

Please allow at least 48 hours for the processing of any prescription requests.

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
