Appointments

The Practice operates an appointment system. To book an appointment please telephone the surgery.  

Telephone lines are open 08:30 -18:00.

We will always aim to see you within 3 attempts to call us at 08.30am for an appointment. If you have tried at this time 3 days in a row and have been unable to secure an appointment, please contact our admin team on manorpark@nhs.net with the details of your request. Our telephone systems can confirm when you called us and at what time, so we can look into that for you and look to assist those who fall into the above category.

It is important you always call at 08.30am and either stay on hold, or press for a call back from our team - your call stays in the queue and we will get to you.  Not everyone before you in the queue is asking for an appointment, so the number you are is not always representative of your chances of getting an appointment. 

If you call us again after you have pressed for the call back service, this will delete the call back previously requested, so please be aware of that, even if you do not wait to speak to anyone.

The longer you leave it after 08.30am to call us the less chance there is of getting an appointment on the same day.

Prebookable appointments are available online, or by calling the admin team. Again these are not inexhaustible, but we will give you any appointments we have available to us to book.

We are unable to book same-day appointments via the reception desk face to face before 9am, please always call at 08.30am.

Book and Cancel Appointments Online

You can also book and cancel your appointment with the doctor online, using the surgery Patient Access medical system via the link at the top of this page. In order to book appointments online you must have obtained the necessary log in details from reception.

Booking in advance can be arranged in a variety of ways: face-to-face with the reception team, over the phone or online. 

Nurse appointments can be booked up to approximately 2 months in advance. 

Appointments with a Clinician can be booked on the day or in advance where availability allows. 

Telephone Advice

Many problems do not require a face-to-face consultation and can be dealt with by telephone. For telephone advice please call as early as possible in the morning and a message will be left for a doctor to call you back. 

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Late Arrival

If you arrive late for your appointment, you will not be able to be seen. You will be asked to make another appointment to replace the missed one. Unfortunately we are unable to run late due to the volume of patients we see in a day and it is not fair on both the members of staff involved and the patients waiting for treatment later in the day.
