Proposal to close Hampden Park Branch Surgery 1st April 2020

For those patients who use our Hampden Park Branch Surgery; please can you read the letter HERE about our proposed changes to happen next year.

If you would like to comment on the proposal, please email us on: manorpark@nhs.net

Repeat Prescriptions

You or someone you care for may benefit from using the NHS Electronic Repeat Dispensing service if you use the same medicines regularly. This service saves you time, it means you don’t need to request or collect your prescription from your GP practice every time you need a further supply. Your GP will ensure you are suitable for the service and produce a batch of prescriptions that can last up to 12 months. Please click HERE for more information.

Flu Vaccinations now available

Please call in to book your flu vaccination if you are over 65 years old or have a condition which entitles you to the vaccination. Anyone pregnant also qualifies.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We would like to confirm that Dr Tourle has resigned from the business and Mrs Anita Taylor, the existing Practice Manager, has become a Partner from 1st December 2019.

The NHS GP service is under unprecedented pressure and we cannot sit back and wait for some magic wand to solve the problems.

Here at Manor Park we have been looking at alternative solutions for some patients where technology can help manage individual access to medical care.

By some patients choosing to use these mediums it will create a positive knock on effect of freeing up time and resources for those patients who do not use technology confidently, therefore increasing the satisfaction of everyone.

Please help us to help you…

Online Patient Access

This is available to all our adult patients and will allow you to book daytime appointments with our in house GP’s and our other clinicians.

This system will also allow you to:

  • Order your repeat prescriptions
  • View your test results

Registration to this system is done via our Reception team.

LIVI

This is a video GP service that is now available.

This service is provided by an external GP service, not our own GP’s.

It lets you talk to a GP in minutes OUTSIDE normal hours. It is free

  • Download the LIVI app
  • Book an appointment: within minutes or at a future date
  • Wait for a GP to video call you back

Extended Hours

This is a Practice based service that allows you to see a GP or Nurse face to face in the evening or weekend.

This service is offered in several local GP Practices and you will be offered an appointment for that day at the Practice on duty. They will have access to your medical records so there is continuity of care.

This appointment must be booked via our Reception team.

Engage Consult. This system is currently being put in place and will be launched shortly.

This is an online tool that allows you to input your symptoms; along the way you will be given suggestions that may be the answer you are after.

If you are still requiring information then a report of your communication is sent to the GP for action and this will result in some/one of the following:

  • Receive a call to discuss further
  • Refer to a specialist
  • Prescribe medication

For all further updates, please look at both our website and our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/manorparkmedical

Proposed Boundary Change

We are looking to slightly reduce the practice catchment boundary and the map is showing you where we are looking to make those changes.  These changes are to help us ensure we can continue to provide safe services, given the reduced number of doctors we now have.

Existing patients will NOT be affected by the change in boundary, as we will not be asking anyone currently living in the purple shaded area to leave the Practice.

If an existing patient does subsequently move to a new address in the shaded area, at this point the new boundary rules will be applied.

Please click HERE for the map details.

Get Well, Keep Well

Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.

CQC Inspection January 2017

We would like to confirm our latest inspection report has now been published and we have been given a GOOD rating in all accountable areas of care and management. Please read the full report in: Further Information: Care Quality Commission.

We now have a bookcase in the Manor Park Surgery waiting room where you can buy a book for £1 and all proceeds go towards purchasing patient focused equipment.

Book donations would be appreciated to keep this resource going. Many thanks.
