Accessing NHS help and support on Monday 19th September
We join with the rest of the country in mourning the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and share our heartfelt condolences with the Royal Family.
The government has announced that Monday 19 September will be a national bank holiday to allow people to pay their last respects to the late Queen on the day of her State Funeral.
We will be closed on Monday and will reopen as normal on Tuesday morning.
We have contacted every patient directly if your appointment has been affected by this change to our service.
During Monday if you need urgent health help or support there will be some pharmacies open on the bank holiday. Visit the NHS website and search “find a pharmacy NHS” to find an open pharmacy in the local area.
For all other urgent health needs over the weekend and the bank holiday, contact NHS111 online www.111.nhs.uk or by phoning 111 for expert advice and support, and signposting to an appropriate service if needed.
Walk in services and minor injuries are also available to help you:
- Uckfield Community Hospital Minor Injury Unit open 8am-8pm every day
If you need mental health support over the Bank Holiday, the Sussex Mental Healthline offers crisis care for people in urgent need of help with their mental health. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week on 0800 0309 500.
Please only go to A&E or Emergency Departments if it is a life-saving emergency.

Access to the Practice from Monday 30th May 2022
Now we are over the very worst of the Covid outbreak, and with so many wonderful people having had the vaccine, we are now in a position to unlock our door from the 30th May.
BUT as you know, Covid has not completely disappeared.
We need to learn to live with Covid and put appropriate precautions in place to prevent its spread should we come into contact with it at the practice. Staff who contract Covid must isolate for 5 days which could seriously impact our ability to remain open for you.
This means we will be imposing the following rules for site visits:
- NO appointments will be made from requests in person at 08.30am, all requests must be actioned via the telephone as is the current routine. Any requests to do so will be turned away.
- Masks MUST be worn on every visit to the practice, or Visors if a mask is not appropriate. This will continue to protect you and us from any ongoing infection.
- Hand Sanitiser must still be used when entering the premises.
- Prams and Buggies will continue to be excluded from our premises as it is just too small to be able to accommodate them, as well as the increased risk of infection and dirt transference. We have a sheltered area just outside the entrance if needed.
- Any refusal to abide by our rules, will result in you being asked to leave the premises.
We may need to amend these rules and close our door again, should we receive this guidance from NHSE or we feel there is a spike in infections which means we need to put back in place more significant controls and precautions.
Our fingers are crossed this will not be the case J
